The Victorian Government is establishing a new Young Farmers Ministerial Advisory Council. The Council will advise government about practical actions and opportunities to attract and retain young people in agriculture, to help maintain a sustainable and profitable sector. The Minister for Agriculture is seeking Expressions of Interest for nine outstanding candidates, including the Chair, for the new Young Farmers Ministerial Advisory Council. Over the next two years the Council will engage with young people in agriculture, consider research and talk to experts to identify practical actions and opportunities for government support and assistance. The Council will advise government about practical actions and opportunities to attract and retain young people in agriculture and help maintain a sustainable and profitable sector.
