Lettuce Classifications

Salad mix producers need to be aware of the MRL classification for each component in their mix.
Not all salad mix components should be treated with the same product, as this may result in unacceptable residues.

Lettuce Classification
Download 150kb

There are three main classifications for salad mix; lettuce-leaf, lettuce-head and leafy vegetables. All components are classified as leafy vegetables (including brassica leafy vegetables). Some salad mix components also have their own individual classification.

Note that some crops such as mizuna and chard may have to meet different MRL specifications.
