VGA-Victoria hosted a popular seminar series over the two days of the National Vegetable Expo held at Werribee, earlier this month. Growers, their staff and industry suppliers took the opportunity to chat with both VGA-Victoria Industry Development Officers (IDO), Slobodan Vujovic and Helena Whitman, and browse a wide selection of useful booklets and posters.
Guest presenters gave short informative talks on their work including, pest & disease management, weather trends and farm safety in the vegetable industry. Growers also took the opportunity to discuss their particular issues with the presenters. Speakers included :
Growers attending the seminars said that they were very interesting and informative.
“Now I know what the’re saying when they talk about the Oscillation Index,” said one grower.
