Deborah Corrigan has received the 2011 Women in Horticulture Award in recognition of her outstanding ability and commitment to achieving success in the vegetable industry.
Corrigans has been involved in the vegetable industry for more than 75 years with Deborah and her brothers Darren and Stephen, being the 3rd generation to carry on the family business. Corrigans operate over 140 hectares at Clyde, 58km SE of Melbourne, supplying 10 quality vegetables lines to fresh markets in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide as well as the major Supermarkets. The business prides itself on producing high quality fresh produce, being among the first to embrace both Quality Assurance and the industry’s EnviroVeg environmental program. Deborah has always been passionate about the family business and the vegetable industry in general and has represented growers on several committees including :
Deborah is currently the grower representative on the Bunyip Food Belt Advisory Committee.
