“I would like to see more women become involved in this industry”, Deborah said. “I think there are some great opportunities out there for women – information, education etc, perhaps an R & D project would be good.”

Asked what it meant to be recognized for her efforts on behalf of the industry, Deborah replied…

“It means a great deal to be recognized by the industry and other farmers. I have had to stand my ground over the years to be recognized as a farmer. It was very nice to see industry people and especially fellow farmers, congratulating me on receiving the award.”

Congratulations Deborah !
